About This Video

Shawn McCraney explains that being a Christian involves recognizing that even the smallest actions are significant when done for God, aligning with the teachings of humility as truth rather than pride. He highlights the concept of humans being made in God's image, reflected in the composition of body, soul, and spirit, analogous to God’s threefold essence of Himself, His Word, and His Spirit.

Part III of Being Christian

(QUOTE 1 FADE IN) “The smallest things become great when God requires them of us; they are small only in themselves; they are always great when they are done for God.” Francois Fenelon

(QUOTE 2 FADE IN) “Humility is nothing but truth, and pride is nothing but lying.” Vincent de Paul

Show 27 402 On Being Christian Part III July 1st 2014

“Live from the Mecca of Mormonism – Salt Lake City Utah – This is Heart of the Matter – Where Mormonism Meets Biblical Christianity . . . Face to Face”

And I’m Shawn McCraney, your host. We praise the true and living God for allowing us to be part of this His ministry.

Main Discussion

We’ll we are going to wrap up on What it means to be a Christian tonight with a final heuristic – one that I think explains Christianity perhaps better than anything else other than reading the Bible. We’ll begin by going to the white board and talking about the houses God has inhabited over the course of human history.

The Image of God

What does this mean when the Bible says God created Man in his own image?

Understanding Human Composition

I would suggest that the best description is that just as God is composed of three essences – Himself, a consuming fire, His Word, and His Pneuma (or breath or spirit) Man was composed of three in one too – Body Soul and Spirit.
