Main Topic: Understanding the Essence of Christianity

Hey before we launch out tonight with Shredding Steve, I wanted to ask the man about his new full length album. Any inspiration that moved you when you created this music? I love all the tracks but the first one is pretty damn motivating – kind of like Cult of Personality or something. Take a look.

(show spot from last weeks HOTM 2.0)

How can these guys pick up your album, my brother?

Our by-line?

“If you think you understand Christianity you are probably wrong.” So thus far we have talked about there being no such thing as Christian music or Christian countries, about Jesus having already come back (as proven by the Bible), about Satan and hell being over with, about the power of the Spirit in the faith today, and about there being two commandments – faith and love – for the modern Christian. So with all of this under our belt let’s move forward and talk a bit about what Jesus is and what Jesus did – which helps us understand what Christianity is today.

God created the world and made the man Adam, who introduced to the world sin and death. Jesus, the second Adam, the Word of God made flesh, came to this earth and lived a mortal life among “His own” the Jews.

Jesus' Mission and Teachings

John the beloved wrote:

John 1:11 “He came unto his own, and his own received him not”

In fact, His own put Him to death. But He rose again after three days in the grave and overcame sin and death – things that the First Adam introduced to the world. In the next verses in chapter one of John, John adds:

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

When this Jesus walked the earth He said that He would establish His church and the gates of hell would not prevail against it. And he called and taught apostles to lead and guide that church (or His Bride) until He would come back to save her.

And come back He did – taking His bride with him at the total destruction of Jerusalem. This wrapped EVERYTHING up in the material church – in fact God said that in that day that He was going shake both heaven and earth so that the only thing that would remain would be unshakeable things.

The Spiritual Kingdom

So let me ask you, what shakable things have you been told remain today and must be trusted in your Christian walk? A brick and mortar religious clubs of a certain denomination that are lead by men? All of it shakable. A church with creeds and demanded doctrines and the like? All shakable. Leaders with pretended authority? All shakable. I mean how many times in your life have you heard of people walking away from God because they were offended by their church (shakable) or people in it (shakeable) or leaders or pastors (shake shake shakable).

But in this age God said He would write His laws upon the hearts and minds of those who are His, and no man shall teach his neighbor, “know the Lord, know the Lord,” for all would know Him! These things describe a kingdom lead by the Spirit, not the flesh or matter of men which will always fail us!

And this is where we are today. The message of Jesus Christ crucified is presently reconciling the world to God and those who are His will hear and receive it, and enter into a direct relationship with God because of it.

The Nation of Israel have served their purpose. They brought for the Old Testament, and the prophets and the Messiah. The New Testament church wrapped everything up. Jesus had the total victory over sin and death, and he even came back as He promised He would and took His material bride or church with Him. So all this leaves are people who seek God, receive Jesus by the Spirit, and then strive, outside of religious culture, authority and demands, to live abundant lives with God as their king.
