Introduction to Tri-Binary Model of Christian Praxis

Tri-Binary Model: Evolution of Christian Praxis

In a recent teaching, we explored 1st Corinthians 11, delving into the cultural and historical context of Paul’s letters to the early church. While some of the specifics, such as hair length and dietary practices, may not directly apply to us today, they offer valuable principles for our Christian walk, like prioritizing others’ needs.

To better understand these teachings, I introduced a new heuristic device called the Tri-Binary Model of Christian Praxis. This model helps us navigate the complexities of biblical teachings by categorizing them into three sets of binary approaches: the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the New Aeon.

The Tri-Binary Model illustrates the evolution of biblical praxis from the archaic to the sublime, highlighting the transition from external religious practices to a more spiritual, love-centered faith. It emphasizes the importance of moving beyond rigid religious structures to embrace a personal relationship with God, characterized by love and spiritual freedom.

This model not only reflects biblical history but also parallels our personal Christian journey. It encourages us to seek a deeper understanding of our faith, moving from institutional religion to a more profound, spirit-led existence. By doing so, we align ourselves with the essence of Christ’s teachings, living in love and truth in the present spiritual kingdom.
