Join us for fellowship and good conversation at our upcoming event, Heart in the Home, on Monday night, December 4th, at the Miracle Rock Church in Salt Lake City. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re Christian, LDS, or a seeker.
In our discussions, we’ve covered a wide range of topics, including spiritual rebirth, worship, sin, the Bible, the Trinity, and more. Each topic has sparked conversations and debates, with many reaching out to express their views. The question remains: What is truly at stake here? Is eternal life more restrictive than we think?
Tonight, I will address the concept of “eternal destruction” and speak about hell. In today’s world, the notion of hell is often mocked or dismissed, even among Bible-believing Christians. However, I want to affirm that hell is a reality—a terrifying one. The Bible provides clear teachings about hell, describing it as a place of eternal punishment and torment.
The Bible speaks of only two destinations after this life: heaven and hell. It also teaches that hell is a place of varying degrees of punishment, eternal and painful. These teachings challenge the views held by some, including those influenced by Universalism, which suggests a more lenient view of hell.
As we explore these topics, I encourage you to reflect on the biblical teachings and the significance of Jesus’ sacrifice. He came to rescue us from this place of torment, offering a path to salvation through being born-again.
Let’s continue this conversation and explore these profound truths together. Feel free to call in with your questions and thoughts.
