What is a Yeshuan?

A Yeshuan is someone who places Yeshua as their Arche — their origin, foundation, and guiding principle. In ancient Greek, the word arche means:

Beginning, source, or first principle.

A foundation or origin of something.

A leader or initiator.

Related to the verb archein — “to begin,” “to lead,” or “to rule”.

To call Yeshua your Arche means He is your starting point — your source, your spiritual center. Not religion. Not tradition. Yeshua alone.

Are You A Yeshuan?

If Yeshua is your Arche, you’re a Yeshuan! This identity is not about religion, denomination, or labels. You can be part of any belief system — or none at all — and still live as a Yeshuan if you recognize Yeshua as your spiritual beginning and model. Whether you’re Mormon, Catholic, atheist, agnostic, or spiritual-but-not-religious — if you look to Yeshua as your Arche, this space is for you.

What justifies calling ourselves Yeshuans?

We believe the age of material religion is over. What remains is a personal relationship between the individual and God through the victory of Yeshua.

What does it look like to follow Yeshua as Arche?

It means walking in personal liberty, pursuing spiritual growth through our minds as we see fit, and constant demonstration of agape love — all without religious obligation or fear.

How is this different from Christianity?

Christianity often emphasizes a need for “correct doctrine”, collective beliefs, rituals, and institutions. The Yeshuan path is about subjective faith — personally led, individually lived, and rooted in patience, mercy and longsuffering.

What do Yeshuans do for the world?

We lead by example — not authority. We aim to embody peace, humility, and patience, especially toward those different from us.

How We Came To This Perspective

The Great News Network was born from decades of personal searching by founder Shawn McCraney. Driven by a deep desire for truth, Shawn questioned every assumption and dug into the Bible for a contextual understanding of God. Along the way, he built off the backs of many who came before him, finding truth as he encountered thinkers and resources who articulated the fulfilled perspective — and the path of subjective faith. The result has been a radical, tried and provable renewal of the minds of Shawn, his family, and fellow learners who have independently found and pursue this approach. Yeshuans was developed by the collective mindset of the first class of graduates from the Leadership Program in 2023. To share these findings, we built a network of educational channels, each offering a different lens through which to grow in understanding.

A Yeshuan Leader doesn’t command. They guide through example. At The Great News Network, we offer an annual Yeshuan Leadership Program — a deep dive into the fulfilled perspective of scripture, the victory of Yeshua, and what leadership looks like in the age of subjective faith.

Biblical Distinctives of Yeshuan Leadership

Yeshuan Leaders are Leaders Without Authority. The Leadership Program teaches Yeshuans a comprehensive understanding of a biblical perspective that will both ground them with a reasonable applicable approach to living in faith, and through their dedicated example how to lead others through agape love.

Yeshua’s Victory

That Yeshua came from God, lived sinlessly, and gave His life for the world — through incarnation, death, burial, and resurrection.

Reconciliation Complete

That Yeshua overcame all things, reconciled the world to God, and returned to take His Bride to the New Jerusalem above.

The Garden Restored

That His finished work returned the world spiritually to Eden — where each individual now freely chooses between the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, and the Tree of Life. Judgment is no longer punitive but rooted in personal responsibility.

Universal Justification, Personal Sanctification

That all are justified before God through Yeshua’s work — and all are invited to pursue sanctification by faith, in this life or beyond.

The Call to Grow in Faith and Love

That each person is responsible for maturing in their unique faith and growing in agape love — the only two commands that remain for the believer.

Anyone who resonates with the Yeshuan Approach is invited to join our Yeshuan Leadership Program. This year-long journey builds on our core eschatology courses and offers a deep dive into the biblical foundations of leading by example in the age of subjective faith. Participants will gain the tools and understanding needed to embody agape love and live out spiritual leadership — without authority, pressure, or pretense.
