Seven Table Scenes

Exploring God’s Journey of Reconciliation Through Biblical Tables

In our recent broadcast from Salt Lake City, we explored the profound journey of God’s reconciliation with humanity through a series of metaphorical tables, each representing significant moments in biblical history.

We began with the **First Table**, the Garden of Eden, where God created a perfect environment for Adam and Eve, granting them free will but also introducing the concept of temptation through the forbidden fruit. This setting illustrates humanity’s initial failure to uphold God’s design.

Moving to the **Second Table**, we examined the stories of key figures like Noah and Abraham, highlighting God’s covenant with Abraham to become the “Father of Nations.” This table sets the stage for the Israelites’ eventual bondage in Egypt, leading us to the **Third Table**, where Moses receives the Law. This period, rich with laws, prophecies, and cultural identity, represents God’s desire for a relationship with His people, despite their repeated disobedience.

After a 400-year silence, the **Fourth Table** introduces John the Baptist, who prepares the way for Jesus, the promised Messiah. Jesus fulfills the prophecies, ultimately leading to His death and resurrection, marking a pivotal moment in God’s plan for redemption.

The **Fifth Table** spans the early church’s formation, where the apostles, empowered by the Holy Spirit, spread the Gospel and prepared believers for Christ’s return. This period emphasizes the urgency of repentance and the call to live in accordance with God’s teachings.

In the **Sixth Table**, we confront the trials and tribulations foretold by Jesus, as described in the Gospels and the Book of Revelation. This table depicts the spiritual warfare faced by believers and the ultimate victory of Christ over sin and death.

Finally, we arrive at the **Seventh Table**, representing the fulfillment of God’s promises. Here, believers experience spiritual peace and direct communion with God, free from the constraints of material religion. This table symbolizes a new creation, where love for God and neighbor reigns supreme, embodying the principles of freedom, faith, and hope.

As we reflect on these tables, we are reminded that the Kingdom of God is within us, offering a personal environment of peace and liberty. Embracing this fulfillment allows us to live as new creations, free to love and serve without the burdens of past religious structures. We encourage you to engage with these ideas and share your thoughts as we continue this journey together.
