Faith without religion.
Embrace the Journey of Seeking God and Discovering Truth
In our recent broadcast, we explored the profound idea that God desires us to seek Him and the mysteries of faith actively. Within religious communities, it’s common to encounter explanations for life’s challenges and the unknown, such as the purpose of suffering or the nature of existence. While many suggest that these experiences are meant for our growth and learning, we propose an additional perspective: God wants us to seek.
Scripture supports this notion, emphasizing the importance of searching for truth and understanding. Proverbs 25:2 highlights that it is God’s glory to conceal things, while the glory of kings lies in searching them out. Similarly, Colossians 2:1-3 speaks of the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden in Christ, urging believers to pursue these riches.
Jesus encourages us in Matthew 6:33 to seek first the kingdom of God, promising that all else will follow. The writer of Hebrews reminds us that faith is essential in our pursuit of God, as He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. Verses from Jeremiah, Deuteronomy, and Matthew further reinforce the idea that seeking God with all our heart leads to discovery and understanding.
However, many religious traditions may suggest that they have already done the seeking for you, presenting themselves as the ultimate source of truth. While this can be comforting, it may also discourage personal exploration. We encourage individuals to challenge teachings, question traditions, and seek their own understanding of God. This journey may lead to surprising revelations that deepen your relationship with Him.
God loves a seeker, and by testing and challenging beliefs, you honor Him. While this pursuit may not always be welcomed by others, remember that you are not alone—God is with you. Embrace the journey of seeking, and you will find joy, insight, and a sense of freedom that transcends worldly and religious constraints.
