Insights from My Parents
As many of you know we are wrapping up these final shows before our new direction by interviewing people close to me, the ministry or who bring something unique to the table in the Mormon/Christian discussion. It has been really enlightening and after over eleven years of airing weekly programs – with seven of those years going hard after Mormonism – we have had the privilege of stepping into the home of my parents in Southern California and to hear from them directly about their lives, faith, and insights. I think you may find yourselves surprised by a number of things.
We were supposed to have my Oldest Daughter Mallory on tonight but couldn’t work that out. Now my Mom – who we are going to hear from in a minute – is a faithful Latter-Day Saint. She is not a roll-over Latter-Day Saint, but she credits the church with being good and true and will defend it as such. In a few weeks time we will hear from my Dad (in our second part) and there you will see a marked difference between them in areas of faith – and some keen similarities in their characters. It was an honor to sit with my parents. A highlight of my personal life, to tell you the truth. I love and respect them so very much – as parents and as human beings – and I was pleased with what we were able to say in these twilight years of life. So without any more delay, let’s hear from… my Mom.
Upcoming Changes
Remember, October 31st 2017 we are launching into some brand new programming (which we have keep a secret from most). Tell your friends and tune in to the boldest approach we have ever taken as a ministry – and we’ll see you next week, here on HEART of the Matter. Thanks Mom.
