Faith without religion.
Navigating Faith: Milk and Meat for the Journey
Imagine we’re all aboard a cruise ship, navigating the vast ocean. As the captain of this vessel, I see our journey divided into two groups: the youngsters below deck and our senior citizens above. We’ve enjoyed smooth sailing, but recently, the seas have turned rough, and everyone could use a dose of Dramamine. Today, our message for Milk and Meat serves as that remedy—a biblical motion sickness medicine.
Christianity, at its core, is simple, yet it can become turbulent with waves of musts and must-nots. Sometimes, it’s essential to step back and calm the seas, gaining a clearer perspective on what it truly means to be a Christian. This is particularly timely as our Milk study focuses on being born-again, while our Meat study emphasizes “continuing steadfast in faith.”
Today, I aim to provide a biblical perspective on these teachings, summarizing what they look like in practice and how we can approach living them. By doing so, we can navigate our spiritual journey with greater clarity and purpose, ensuring a smoother voyage for all aboard.
