This event brought together Shawn McCraneyFounder of TGNN and developer of the fulfilled perspective—calling people to faith outside of religion., Delaney, and a packed room of Christian apologists for an unfiltered and spirited discussion on theology, salvation, the Bible, and the very meaning of truth. Shawn began by framing the event as a call to honest dialogue—not debate—and quickly dove into a critique of traditional Christian eschatologyStudy of “last things”—TGNN teaches all biblical eschatology was fulfilled in 70 A.D. More, challenging the audience’s assumptions about hell, salvation, and the Bible’s application to modern life.
The conversation ranged from whether people can be saved without knowing Jesus’ name, to whether the Bible was written to us or for us. Shawn pushed attendees to reconsider the nature of the New Testament, the difference between ontological and epistemological belief in Christ, and the danger of making the Bible an idol rather than trusting the Spirit of Christ and the fruit it produces. The evening also tackled whether Christians are really part of Christ’s “bride,” the meaning of church, the nature of evil, and whether Christ already returned in 70 AD. Throughout, participants asked thoughtful, pointed questions, creating a rich back-and-forth that forced everyone to rethink inherited assumptions.
The event ended with a powerful summary of “The Great News”: the work of Christ is finished. The world has been reconciled to God. The question now isn’t who’s going to hell, but who wants to live by the Spirit in love, faith, and truth?
