Revelation 12 Part 3 Bible Teaching

In a recent teaching, we explored Revelation 12, focusing on its symbolism and historical context. The passage begins with a woman, symbolizing heavenly Jerusalem, giving birth to Jesus, the Messiah. This event triggers a cosmic battle where Michael and his angels defeat Satan, casting him to earth. The victory is linked to Jesus’ sacrifice, which judged and defeated Satan. The passage highlights the triumph of the saints through the blood of the Lamb and their testimony, even amid persecution. It also reflects on the period between AD 30 and AD 70, a time of trial for the early church, culminating in Jerusalem’s destruction. Despite the dragon’s continued attempts to wage war against Christ’s followers, the teaching reassures believers of victory through faith in Jesus, encouraging steadfastness and drawing strength from the early church’s example.
