In a recent teaching, we explored the themes of rebirth and spiritual transformation in John 3:1-8, where Jesus tells Nicodemus about the necessity of being “born again” to see the kingdom of God. We discussed signs of spiritual rebirth, such as a new vision and a reprioritization of life. The contrast between spiritual death and rebirth was highlighted, comparing Adam’s fall with the renewal brought by spiritual rebirth. The theological debate on divine election versus universal calling was also examined, emphasizing God’s desire for all to be saved while acknowledging human free will. The teaching concluded with the importance of humility and a contrite heart in approaching God.
