In a recent teaching, we explored the profound symbolism of communion, focusing on the elements of unleavened bread and wine as instituted by Jesus. These elements symbolize His descent from heaven and His ultimate sacrifice. We also examined Jesus cleansing the temple, highlighting His zeal for pure worship and His response to the commercialization of sacred spaces. Additionally, we reflected on the city of Capernaum, which, despite witnessing many miracles, failed to respond with faith. This serves as a cautionary tale about the responsibility of responding to God’s blessings. Through these reflections, we are reminded of the importance of gratitude, pure worship, and faith in action.
