Ephesians 4:24 – 5:11 Bible Teaching

In a recent teaching, we explored Ephesians 4:24-5:11, focusing on the call to “be renewed in the spirit of your mind.” This renewal is a deep restoration, similar to renovating a house by removing the old to make way for the new. Paul emphasizes this transformation as essential for living a life aligned with God’s righteousness and true holiness. He urges believers to abandon deceit, anger, and corrupt communication, and instead embrace truth, kindness, and forgiveness. Paul highlights the importance of speaking truthfully and managing anger to prevent giving the devil a foothold. The teaching also stresses honest labor to support those in need and advises against corrupt communication, promoting words that edify and minister grace. In Ephesians 5, Paul calls believers to imitate God, walking in love as Christ did, and warns against behaviors like fornication and covetousness. The teaching concludes with a reminder for believers to walk as children of light, seeking what pleases God, as part of an ongoing journey of renewal and transformation.
