Ephesians 1:1-12 Part 3 Bible Teaching
In a recent teaching on Ephesians 1:1-12, we examined the interpretation of predestination and election, particularly in relation to the Nation of Israel. The discussion emphasized that the Jews were predestined to play a crucial role in God’s divine plan, challenging the common belief that predestination applies universally to all believers. We considered the phrase “the foundation of the world” as possibly referring to the establishment of the Jewish world during Moses’ time. The teaching also explored the mystery of God’s will, as revealed by Paul, which involves uniting Jews and Gentiles into one body through Christ. Different theological views, such as Calvinism and Arminianism, were discussed, focusing on God’s sovereignty and human free will. The role of the Holy Spirit as a seal of promise for believers was highlighted, affirming their place in God’s family. The session concluded with a call to recognize spiritual unity in Christ, transcending denominational boundaries, and focusing on love as the true mark of God’s people.
