In a recent teaching, we delved into Acts 13, focusing on Paul and Barnabas’s mission to spread the Lord’s message. The narrative begins with Paul confronting the sorcerer Elymas, leading to a significant moment of belief for Sergius Paulus, a governor who was “astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.” As their journey continued from Paphos to Perga and then to Antioch in Pisidia, Paul spoke in a synagogue, recounting Israel’s history and emphasizing the fulfillment of God’s promise through Jesus, a Savior from David’s lineage. This teaching draws parallels between the Israelites’ journey and the Christian walk, highlighting God’s enduring presence and the importance of faith and repentance. It concludes with affirming Jesus as the ultimate Prophet, Priest, and King.
