2 Peter 3:14-18 Bible Teaching

In a recent teaching, we explored 2 Peter 3, where Peter addresses skepticism about Jesus’ return. Despite scoffers, Peter reassures believers of its certainty, likening it to a thief in the night. He challenges believers to reflect on their conduct, asking, “What manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness?” Peter emphasizes living holy and godly lives in anticipation of the new heavens and earth promised by God. He acknowledges the complexity of Paul’s teachings but affirms their divine inspiration, warning against their distortion. The teaching concludes with a call to “grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” urging dedication to spiritual growth and steadfastness in understanding Christ.
